Who we are
The Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club (“the Club,” “we,” “us”) is a non-profit organization for owners and enthusiasts of Lincoln Zephyr and Lincoln Continental automobiles. Our website is at www.lzoc.org.
If you have any question about this policy or about information we hold about you, contact:

What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information the Club collects through its website, why we collect it, and who can see it.
It applies to the website only.
Information we collect
Membership information
When you join the Club, we record the information needed to administer your membership and deliver the magazine:
Vehicle information
If you choose to add vehicles to the site, we record what you enter: make, model, year, serial and body numbers, photographs, and any description or history you write.
Adding a vehicle is entirely optional. Your membership does not depend on it.
Classified listings
If you place a classified advertisement, we record the details of the item, your asking price, photographs, and the contact information you supply for buyers.
Website account information
To use the members’ area you need an account. We store your username, an encrypted version of your password, and the date you last signed in.
We never store your password in a readable form. Nobody at the Club, including the webmaster, can see it. If you forget it, you reset it — we cannot look it up.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly all websites, our web server keeps routine technical logs: IP addresses, browser types, pages requested, and the dates and times of requests. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
If you search the magazine archive, we record the words searched for and how many results were returned. This helps us improve the search. We do not connect these records to individual members when reviewing them.
Why we collect it
We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to running the Club.
Who can see your information
Other members
The members’ area is available only to signed-in members. The information you choose to enter/edit in your user profile can be seen by other members.
The public
Some parts of the site are open to anyone: Club history, information about the cars, event listings, and how to join. Personal member information and member car information are not in those sections.
The Club does not sell, rent, trade, or give away member information. We do not provide our membership list to advertisers, marketers, or other organizations.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site — our web host, our email delivery service, and similar technical services. They process information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies
The website uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — for two purposes: keeping you signed in as you move between pages, and remembering display preferences.
We do not use advertising cookies and do not permit third-party advertising trackers.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but you will not be able to stay signed in to the members’ area.
Security
Access to the members’ area requires a username and password. Passwords are stored encrypted. The site uses HTTPS, so information sent between your browser and the site is encrypted in transit.
No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable care with what you have entrusted to us.
