A guide to the Club website. Explore and let us know what you think of it and how can it be improved.
This site is a dedicated place for lovers of Zephyrs and early Continentals to share stories, pictures, and information. Think of it as a Facebook-like experience — but with no AI, no scammers, and nothing on it except 1936 to 1948 Zephyrs, Lincolns, and Continentals.
Your Member Profile is where you share your car or cars with the rest of the membership.
The Forum is where you ask questions, tell us what you are doing with your car, and comment on what other members are doing with theirs.
We will build this community only if we all take part. So do add your cars. Add a new photos from time to time — the most recently updated profile always appears first on the Members & Cars Gallery page, so the newest info is easy to find. Post in the Forum when you are out for a drive, or working on the car, or turning over a problem you have not yet solved.
None of it has to be polished. A photograph taken on a telephone and two sentences is a valued contribution and enough to keep us connected.
Signing in
Your username is your membership number. Your passcode is the same number the first time you sign in, after which you will be asked to choose a new one — at least 8 characters, nothing else required.

The first thing to do
Go to For Members → Edit Your Profile Info & Cars and check that the Club has your details right — address, telephone, email. Correct anything that is wrong. It takes two minutes and it keeps your magazine arriving.
While you are there, two things are worth your time:
Your Member Story. A few paragraphs about how you came to these cars. There is no length limit and no form to fill in — just write. These are among the most-read pages on the site, because they are the part no reference book contains.
Your cars. More on that below.

Below that is Edit/Add Car(s), where you enter each car you own:
Additional galleries are the part most members miss. You can add as many as you like, each with its own title and description — the day you bought it, a restoration, historical documents, a show you took it to. This is how a car’s story gets told properly rather than as one undifferentiated pile of photographs.
Photographs are resized automatically. Upload straight from your telephone if that is easiest.
Members & Cars Gallery
Every member’s cars in one place. Click through to any member’s page to see their story, their cars, and all their galleries.
Worth browsing even if you are only looking. There are cars here that have not been photographed anywhere else.
Membership Directory
Search the membership by name or by state. Useful when you are travelling, or when you want to reach the person who owns the car you have been reading about.
Contact details are visible to signed-in members only. Nothing here is public.

The Way Of The Zephyr — Library
Every issue since 1968. Roughly 350 of them, and all of them searchable.
Two different searches, and the difference matters:
The search box at the top of the Library page looks inside every issue at once and tells you which ones contain your words. Type seat belt and you will get the list of issues that mention it.
The magnifying glass inside an issue searches within that one issue, to find the passage on the page.
So: search the Library to find which issues, then open an issue and use the magnifying glass to find the place.
Below the search box are the decades — 1960s through 2020s — for browsing rather than searching.
There is an Understanding Search page on the Library page explaining how to use quotation marks, how to require or exclude a word, and how the search handles plurals. Worth five minutes if you plan to do any real research.
Forums — Share A Story
The Club’s conversation. Not a traditional forum with threads — simpler than that.
To post: type into the green box at the top and submit. Add a photograph if you have one.
To read: posts appear newest first. The Forum dropdown filters by topic. The search box finds older posts.
When you return, the site tells you how many posts are new since your last visit.
Anything to do with these cars is welcome — a question, something you have discovered, a photograph, a story about a trip.
Classifieds — Cars For Sale / Sold
Cars for sale, and an archive of cars sold.
To place an advertisement, send the details and photographs to Michael Davis at webmaster@lzoc.org and he will post it. Tell him when it sells and it moves to the Sold list.
The Sold archive is worth reading in its own right — it is a record of what these cars have changed hands for.
The public pages
These are open to anyone, and they are how prospective members find the Club.
The Cars — every model from 1936 to 1948, year by year. Specifications, body styles, photographs.
Parts — sources and suppliers.
Events — the Gatherings of the Faithful and other Club events.
Our Club — history, officers, and how the Club is run.
Join Us — the membership application, for anyone you would like to bring in.
On a telephone or tablet
The site works on any device. Everything is reachable, including adding cars and uploading photographs — often easier from a telephone, since the photographs are already on it.

If something looks wrong, or a photograph will not upload, or you cannot find what you are looking for — please say so. The site is new, and problems only get fixed when somebody mentions them.
